Not Just an "Agency"
We
don't just "place" independent home care personnel
with clients for a fee. Our Home Care Aides are W-2 employees,
not independent contractors.
That's an important difference
from many other companies, who designate their staff as
independent contractors to avoid paying payroll taxes.
The IRS says that employers can direct only the result
of the work done by independent contractors, not the means
and methods of accomplishing the result.
At Ready Hands,
the "means and methods" are important to us.
We want to monitor performance and supervise our staff,
so that your needs and expectations are met.

Our People
We’re proud of the great employees who work for Ready Hands as Home Care Aides. They are friendly, courteous and reliable, and they enjoy helping others.
We don't try to teach these qualities--we hire for them. That's one reason why Ready Hands only offers employment to a fraction of the many applicants who contact us.
Our hiring process starts with completion of a detailed application. We then carefully interview suitable applicants, probing for the character and personality traits necessary for top quality service.
And that's just the beginning...
We handle the busy work, so you don't have to worry about:
- Criminal background screens
- Driving record checks
- Careful personal and employer reference checks
- Fidelity bonding
- General and professional liability insurance
- Supervision and performance reviews
- Verification of training and certification
- Initial and ongoing on-the-job instruction
- Confirmation of U.S. employment eligibility
- State and federal tax withholding
- Worker's compensation insurance
- State and federal unemployment taxes
- Prompt assignment of a replacement in case of an employee illness or emergency
